IBBMD Platform

Indivisible Bowie and Beyond is looking for bold Democrats to primary and turn over the tired, antiquated and calcified federal government. Here are notes, gathered from our members, describing actions we expect and qualities we want in a candidate.

1) Enforce DUE PROCESS. Anyone and everyone must be afforded due process according to the Constitution, regardless of legal status or citizenship.  Civil or criminal legal processes and judicial personnel must comply with constitutional, criminal, and civil statutes.

2) Restore all agencies and institutions of government that have been destroyed, dismantled, denied or otherwise disenfranchised by the current Trump administration. Reinstate all rights and responsibilities of agencies and agency leaders which have been usurped in the name of efficiency or efforts to “erase fraud and/or abuse or waste.” Reimplement diversity, equity, inclusivity.

3) Emphasize and fund social safety net agencies and programs that help restore balance to underserved, underfunded, and historically harmed communities.

4) Rein in and eventually prosecute Trump’s unbridled destruction of the US presidency: overreach of authority; bidding and/or bullying for wealth, power, praise; extortion of wealthy companies, institutions; willfully ignoring the LAW.
