Community Outreach

Indivisible Bowie and Beyond is committed to service for our neighbors and communities through mutual aid. We partner with established food banks and pantries by contributing, collecting, and distributing food, supplies or money. We will pick up contributions to the Bowie Interfaith Pantry or the Sacks For Students program within Bowie and surrounding areas.  To arrange pickup, please contact [email protected] and write FOOD DONATION in the subject line.

Bowie Interfaith Pantry

IBBMD has adopted the Bowie Interfaith Pantry and Emergency Aid Fund as our ongoing recipient of mutual aid.

The pantry is located at 2614 Kenhill Drive in Suite 134. The donation center is in the rear of the building with convenient drop off spaces where volunteers are ready to accept donations during their hours of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9-11am. Additional drop-off sites are located at Bowie Gym, Bowie Senior Center, Kenhill Center, and Weichert Realty.

For more information on the many ways you can help the pantry, from volunteering and donating to participating, visit their website https://bowiefoodpantry.org/ or read their newsletter https://bowiefoodpantry.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Pantry-Newsletter-Fall-2025.pdf. You can also contact the Food Pantry at [email protected] or call 301-262-6765.

Adopt A Family

IBBMD has adopted a local family.

On September 6th, 2025, Caesar was detained on his way to work leaving his pregnant wife, Bety, and their three children. He has since been deported to Honduras, a country he has not lived in for over 20 years. Caesar was the family’s sole provider. Without his income, they are now facing severe financial hardship and are unsure how they will cover rent, utilities, and basic necessities in the coming months.

This GoFundMe has been created to support Bety and her children during the most difficult time of their lives. Any donation—no matter the amount—will help provide stability, cover essential expenses, and ease some of the immense financial and emotional stress this family is facing. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign to support our community members.

Sacks For Students

Caity N, a Bowie resident and middle school teacher, is collecting non-perishable, teen-friendly foods to make take-home meal bags for her students whose families are SNAP recipients. She will also collect and distribute menstrual products. The school has a large percentage of immigrant and low-income students whose families were already struggling before the hateful withholding of SNAP, so the need is great.

To drop off or have me pick up your items, email [email protected] to make arrangements. This will be an ongoing request through at least December 2025.
