Community Outreach
Feed the Kids!
Parents and caregivers sometimes need a bit of help to fill gaps in their kid’s nutrition during the summer. We’re looking for donations of $ or non-perishable, kid-friendly food.
For more information or to help please email [email protected].
Bowie Interfaith Pantry
Adopt A Family
IBBMD has adopted a local family.
Sacks For Students
Caity N, a Bowie resident and middle school teacher, is collecting non-perishable, teen-friendly foods to make take-home meal bags for her students whose families are SNAP recipients. She will also collect and distribute menstrual products. The school has a large percentage of immigrant and low-income students whose families were already struggling before the hateful withholding of SNAP, so the need is great.
To drop off or have me pick up your items, email [email protected] to make arrangements. This will be an ongoing request through at least December 2025.
